    Hi everyone

I've recently thought about how much more I enjoyed music when I made my own mixtapes and listened to albums all the way through(without Ads too!). Getting back to that obviously requires re-acquiring equipment (kicking myself for what I've disposed of over the years, Holy!).... which seems like it all needs a bit of technical work too..... so this seemed like a smart place to gather info, advice and general goings-on.

Got a couple of Walkmans and a single tape deck(gotta be able to make those mixtapes!) en route, but am preparing to move house in a couple of months, so it's going to be sporadic progress, but looking forward to the journey.

Thanks in advance for any potentially stupid questions I drop :delighted:

Welcome Australia! Put some shrimp on the barbie and have a vegemite sandwich! Over here Walkmans, boomboxes and anything from Australia were the rage in the 80's. Good luck with your quest, luckily I never threw anything out and still have a ton of my stuff plus I've been a dumping ground for the neighbors for years.

Feel free to post anything, it's a world-wide audience and what's normal for you might be exciting and new for us. We have some other great members from down under, you guys got some great equipment we didn't see over here.
