Reference, I'd say. I suspect not even TDK themselves have a collection like this one.

I am led to believe cassette tapes are the new classics, much like fine cars from the past... soon enough, especially brand new, unopened stock of certain types of cassette will command absolutely absurd prices that no-mortal would ever dare to pay.

Hope you will like the photos of TDK's Museum, I tried to translate the Japanese text but it is pretty difficult.... There is an interview in the second part with some of the TDK people, and an article about the MA-R Series. This is taken from the "Stereo Generation" magazine from march 2022
I have about 1200 self-recorded cassettes and a little collection of unused cassettes too.

That`s really a very fine collection. I only collect single TDK Cassettes, and if there are , only the 90-Minutes-Tapelength. From the series, in that are no 90-Minutes, i take one other. You can compare here - my collection :
    https://stereo2go.com/forums/threads/my-tdk-cassettes-collection.8611/

You can see, the difference is, Kent collects the different tape length too, but i collect the different declarations too ( for example i just have 11 D 90 from 1982 with different declarations ).
Unfortunally i have no place to stock the special editions, like Kent have, i have the cassettes in wooden racks directly shown in my flat. But i think, the prices, for example for an 5-SA-XG-90-Box, are so expensive now, they would blow my budget.
I just have 489 different TDK, and 25 another are on their way to me.
Thanx https://stereo2go.com/forums/members/doorz.571/ for the Museum Files.

    Hello Kent,

Just joined the forum. I feel that, without a doubt, your TDK collection would be the most valuable one on the planet good sir.

The boxed sets are very exclusive and stunning.

Are the TDK gold sd variants plastic or metal shells?

    Best Regards
    Rabe
