The d6cs I bought back in the year 2007 and the pair of d6. I don't know when I got them. This is just the overview picture. Since I posted this elsewhere I thought I'd post them here. Okay, both d6 have the pointy heads. Let me take a picture but the one on the left won't lock into play mode so I have to hold it with my finger to let you see the head by pushing the play button. Now I'm curious to the d6 models come with a not pointy head? Because both of these have pointy heads. In the top picture are the d6c and in the bottom are the d6 again. I am pushing in the play button to let you see the pointy head of the d6 which won't stay in place or lock into play mode. decentman4you2007@gmail.com I'll answer any questions I do want to get. I think the d6 fully serviced back to working condition for me.
Just a room picture. Bottom right. Got big tub on the floor and then all the subsequent other tubs on the shelf are mostly walkmans. But this big tub has all the mostly new in the box models that I have, I shouldn't say new in the box I should say simply with the box.
Okay, I just tested all four units on Duracell AA batteries and a cassette and a pair of JVC headphones that I use and I took a picture. Hopefully you can read my notes 1. Yeah, I'll read it to you on the d6c the one that has all of its parts including the headphones. That one all works sounds great. 2. The other d6c The buttons lock in all modes, ff and rewind work and the spindle spin but in play mode but there's no play just motor noise. 3. Then moving on to the d6. It will fast forward and rewind and lock in the position but it will not lock into play mode and it won't play but it will give you motor noise that's it. 4. The last model which is the other d6 it will fast forward and rewind while locking into position. However, in play mode it will not lock into position. However, if you hold the button in while playing it will work. But the moment you release the play button it will not stay in play mode and therefore you won't hear anything but fast forward and wine do lock so I don't understand why that is. So does it is a simple fix to make the buttons lock into play mode when you press play? Or is it more involved like taking it apart or something wrong because someone banged on the buttons or heck? I don't know that's my issue with these other than the ones that probably need belts or something, but I don't know that much about walkmans or at least about these. I'd have to read up again. I have boomboxes on my brain. More than I have walkmans on my brain.
Dd9 and WM. 800 00 I just tested both dd9s and all they do is light up and make motor noise but they won't do anything and they won't stop until you remove the battery and I didn't test the other ones but here's a picture just saying Okay now I'm going to put All this back and go back to bigger things to work on like boomboxes.
I would send both D6 to Deb64 in the UK for complete overhaul. And the DD9. Then list both D6C on e-bay as is. And try and sell all the other walkman's too as they are just "junk" as the Japanese auctions are fond of saying. To say it politely Time for a mega blow out sale and just keep the "world class best" ones and get them fully working. Same with the boomboxes quite frankly PS: At least you have the original boxes for a lot of this stuff
