Ok, I’m so crazy excited about my new GE 3-6000B that I actually brought it in to Starbucks with me.
I justified it by saying that I didn’t want to leave it in the “hot car” while I had a quick cup of coffee.
Truth is, I’m hoping someone says something so I can talk about it. I haven’t been this excited about a radio in like 15 years.
Maybe someone will say “Tell me ALL about it, and don’t hold ANYTHING back.”
    :loldiag:
Please tell me you’ve done something like this.

As I know you're a teacher, you could tell them how you got schooled by me, regarding how this arrived to you and the attention to detail that I gave.

Let’s run with electronic art. It makes me feel like an art collector instead of an old dude dragging radios into coffee shops

Wow I feel completely normal then!
I do wonder why my wife calls me a weirdo when I’m out and about with my tape deck.
Always had my boom box and Walkman in my wagon when travelling.
This Panel van is factory 308 cubic inch 4 speed manual. I owned her for over 30 years (1976 GMH) IMG_5086.png

The Sandman! Wow what a beast, maybe a Ford? I only have one stick, my little 1.8L but it's the most fun car I have.

I’m happy to hear I’m not the only one taking my radios out in the community. I also have an original Blueberry Clamshell iBook 300Mhz, 640MB RAM, 3.2GB HDD, OS X 10.3
I take it to Starbucks and connect to their wifi and check my emails. It blows peoples minds lol.

I agree that all these devices are a form of electronic art. Things of great beauty in the eye of the right beholder. Great conversation starters too. I’ve decided I’m taking them out even more now.
    :delighted:

I watched a YT video (Hemming's maybe?), the USA guy had several of the more recent Holden Muscule Cars not usually seen around here. The Pontiac V8 shows up from time to time, just saw a mint one yesterday and it still looks good.

This morning at Cartel coffee in Tempe, AZ.
Some young dude walked by and gave a big smile, like “cool radio” Or maybe “you’re such a dork”. I’m not sure

It is one of Dr. Bo special tapes. That's his name in eBay and his real name is Joel something or other?

Great, that's the tape with the youtube copyright-free music that you can actually play in youtube videos? I have to browse that youtube library of free music one of these days.

What cassette gets hammered the most?
    For me it’s Paul Young.
My go too for the Walkman down the beach.
I get a few odd looks and even asked what sort of phone I have clipped to my belt ‍♂️
Must try it out in a coffee shop

    Cheers Kiwinut

Yes there is quite a lot of music in there and even some with singing in it but I don't care for that. Kwon & Spence are two songwriters that I like of their music.

The Go-Go’s Beauty and the Beat. My favorite album of all time.
Missing Persons Spring Session M is a close second.

    BTW - I love Paul Young :)

You can put copyrighted music on your videos, as long as you're comfortable with the fact that they won't let you earn money from your channel if you do that.
