    Good evening,
I recently obtained an AIWA TP-S30 from a thrift store for $5. The belts have melted and there's what I think is a blown thermistor. Belts and new caps are on the way. There was a bunch of junk all over the thermistor when I opened it up. It was right next to some highly corroded AA batteries.

I was wondering if anyone had any information on the specific thermistor I'd need to buy to replace it. I've checked the repair manual and it doesn't seem to list the part since it's on the board for the motor. The last two images I've linked are two pictures of the part that I found on this forum. Is it possible it's not blown but is just missing whatever that white tape/fabric is around it? Is that some sort of isolator?

Any sort of help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Cody

It's probably fine, I would proceed on that assumption, see if it works once the other parts arrive. Detach it and test with ohm-meter at room temp and then with a hair dryer on it etc., plenty of results on how to test on Google. One assumes it is an overheat protection and, well, who needs that, worst case just bypass it with wire...
