This FM Stereo Receiver Cassette Player/Recorder arrived at my museum recently. It is a very nice machine, made in the legendary Sony Walkman WM-D6C tradition. As you can see, it is a full-operation portable recorder with FF, Rewind, and even Pause options, built-in stereo microphones, FM receiver, and AUX output. It was made in Japan by Kasuga Seiki. The problem is that I do not have any information about this device. Can you help me, please? Before I put it on the museum display, at least I need to know: 1) The year of manufacture 2) Technical specification 3) Any relations to the Denon brand If you have any information about this player, please let me know.
This looks not related to the D6(C), rather to the TPS-L2, WM-1, and WM-3. No other info though unfortunately.

I think I have some info on it on here somewhere. I don't think Denon has any connection to this manufacturer. I'm 90% sure Nippon = NEC (Nippon Electric Company), I don't remember but I think there's a clipping in the archeaology threads confirming it. Can you write down the FCC#? As a kid, I used to see NEC Equipment everywhere, I justed watched No Man's Land (1987) and Charlie Sheen has an NEC Cell Phone in his Porsche. They had a minor footprint in audio but it seems they enjoyed building for other companies instead.
Here's our FCC Information, they have to apply for radios in the USA. The FCC ID is BGJ9HDFS-987. I don't know if Kasuga Seiki made all of Nippon's Stuff or even if they had a relationship to NEC. Like the other thread says, they are still operating as a machine shop. I haven't tried looking up the other ID's they may be for other models or boomboxes.
