Yes, the site archive.org has all the manuals and service manuals but you have to search for them because they may not be the labeled as you would think they would be labeled. It's best to search for manufacturers first and in search that because there is a lot repeat a lot to go through
We have manuals on some of the threads. I think with all the hosting sites now, you can find 80% of what your looking for. When I search for manuals I search google like this "Sony WM-D6 .pdf" then look at the images, it's easier to see the front page of a manual.
Of yes, I search and find most manuals I need But I meant on that site where it has photos and information on every model it could also have the manuals. Or even stereo2go could have an area I guess.
On Walkman.land we link to the source, so it would be easy for you to download. Services like ElektroTanya, FreeServiceManual, and others have ads on their site to support their business, so we honor that.
When you are reading this, you might have noticed that there are 500 models on Walkman.land! For the admin team, that is a major milestone - one we will celebrate. Obviously we are not done yet, but building the site and the content management system from the ground up, while also making more models available, database update, and so on, it has been consuming more time than we expected. There are lot of ways to slice and dice the collection: by year, brand, tag, series, gangs, colors, and more. Thank you for your recurring visits, and don't hesitate to reach out via the contact form!
Emiel, You have done tremendous work to gather all the information available on Walkman.land, excellent job . Is it possible you add a search option to the site that way a specific walkman can be searched quickly instead of browsing all walkman models? Also I have plan to publish a high quality book about cassette walkman units, Can I use information on your website?
Hi @Boodokhan , Thank you for the compliments. There are 2 WML admins behind the scenes, I cannot take credit all by myself. Please feel free to use information from walkman.land in your book. We would appreciate some 'credits', like a short paragraph about the site somewhere in book about the site and some of the contributors. There are 2 options to quickly navigate the database. Go to the bottom right corner on your desktop (or any large screen device). Alternatively, scroll down a bit on your mobile to reveal the bottom quick menu bar. 1) Search function If you search for a known full model number, say WM-DD33, it will do a direct jump instead of showing search results. 2) Fast Forward function Click it to reveal a dropdown, categorized by manufacturer, within it by model name. Let me know if these 2 options are clear, of if we can further improve them. Kind regards, Emiel
I liked not needing to type in (wm-) and just typing say say dd3 and that took me right to the Sony DD3
great news @Emiel , I located the search button and its easy to use. Thanks again, In my book there will be information about walkman.land as a great reference for walkman enthusiasts.
