Hello all! (from New Zealand) and thanks for having me Have been browsing this forum and Tapeheads for all WM-D6C related things since getting mine a few weeks ago. Since I made an account on Tapeheads, I thought I might as well make one here too lol. I have a little experience and electronics and somewhat confident on opening up things (provided there's a manual) but these old machines are definitely something else. Will probably see me asking for advice (and most likely servicing) on my D6C soon haha. Cheers

Thanks for having me! I actually did buy that exact same JIS set by Vessel after reading that post a few weeks ago! It's what I've been using to open up my D6C, and they really do work on those housing screws.
My relationship with New Zealand is recently I shipped a TRC 975 to somebody over there as I sold it and then a few days ago I sold 84 TDK cassette tapes to another person in New Zealand and that's all I know right now. Good day
Another Kiwi Awesome You will love the D6C I have done some repairs for a friend (belts and a grease) I own 2 of these units plus a beauty Wm-2 you will not tire of using your DC (daddy cool)they are great.
