Old but Good on YouTube recently posted several Peter Justesen Catalogs from Denmark. I'm not sure what they are for but there' s ton of vintage boomboxes and the descriptions are all in English. Maybe it was a way to get cheap duty-free Japanese Electronics from over there? The catalogs are very well done with a lot of photos.

Since @Retro Audio Museum is exhibiting a Philips I thought I would post this video from back when they had ambitions in consumer electronics.

A really interesting video about "peak Sony" and their 45" Trinitron TV.

Fast forward to 8:24 for some footage from inside a U.K. towns music store back in 1992.

James' recent comment in the thread about Akihabara made me wonder if BIC Camera was still going. That led me to this video

The only time I went there was 19 years ago. Some things have changed. Some haven't. At least they still have electronics shops in Japan. In the U.K. the electronics section is usually a couple of aisles between the washing machines and the TVs.

Yodobashi is the big one just a few blocks down the street, so much cool stuff and high-dollar stereo systems. It doesn't hurt that they have a killer craft beer bar on the top floor.
