    It seems VWestlife was one of the few Americans to buy a MiniDisc recorder back in the day.
    He isn't as big a fan as Techmoan though

    They were always expensive, if they had a sub-$200 USD player/recorder I bet the format would have taken off. For the money they wanted you could get a nice CD player and then 11 for 1 cent CDs from BMG or Columbia House.

    I always wonder how younger folks financed this stuff, I was buying $35 Sportsters and recording friends music or buying used prerecorded cassettes.
