What a wonderful article and what nice comments. Also super fun to get to know the story behind the collector. Wonderful initiative to draw attention to the Walkman in this way. Well done Timewarp. Let's just hope that second-hand Marktplaats prices don't skyrocket
I'm also very glad that this article triggered many sweet memories, and caused people to search for their old walkman and repair it to listen to their old childhood tapes. I even got some DMs with people offering me their old device that has emotional value to them. They didn't want to sell it, but knowing that it will end up in my collection gives them piece of mind so they ship it to me (for free). I'm thankful that Tweakers made this great article and I'm honoured that they used my collection to bring the Walkman under the attention of the dutch public again.
