Sharp GF capstan idler disaster. In need of a quality idler kit.

    Hello guys. So, during my progress on restoring the Sharp GF9696, I've bought an idler kit with Belts out of ebay. The belts seems to work flawlessly, however, the idler sleeve inside the capstan does not want to grip, after pressing the play button, it only takes 5 seconds for the idler to fall inside the capstan bearing. in result of zero take up feel torque. I am not sure if I am doing something wrong or if the actual idler that I bought is a bad quality one. I just need some help here.

    The thing is, its a cylindrical idler (sleeved). I wish Marian from Fixyouraudio has that type of idler.

    I have read that in the past people used Radio Control model fuel line as a replacement.
