Did you not just supposedly sell a DC2 in box for €1799.99? I also think nobody would pay that, it looks like someone did?

€1000 nice, still what kind of person pays that for a DC2? must have too much money but good for you.

A while back someone wanted a box for their D6C and they asked me if i would sell mine, i said yes make me an offer and they offered £30+ postage. Well i sold it as i never use it. Would i pay £30 for an empty box? the answer is no, i am not an idiot but i am happy to accommodate an idiot that wants to give me money

We are talking about the box the D6C came in, not a D6C.

I sold a WM22 the other week for £87.......in fine cosmetic order...fwd and rewind working as they should along with playing fine...all except the playback.
The heads needs a good clean but this was in the description.....BUT why so much for this / these units? I am baffled....I have asked the question from the buyer but as yet no answer.....

When this thread started I checked prices and they do seem to be consistently high.

    I guess

    • The graphics on the WM2 are nice. At just a glance it is obvious it is a Walkman. The WM22 advert emphasised that it was a genuine Sony Walkman. I actually prefer the looks to many of the later Walkmans which at first glance might be a pocket hard drive.
    • As they were low price lots of people must have had them in the past. Being low price they probably didn't treasure them. Maybe they now want to relive their youth.
    • Finally long term prices are down to supply and demand. Demand is obviously currently high and supply lower.
