Created this thread as I need some help in creating a list with all AIWA walkmans using the Alpha-2 mechanism. Some of these walkmans include: HS-PX30/303, HS-PX50/505, HS-PX900, HS-PL30/303, HS-JX30/JX303/TX303, HS-RX30, HS-PL50/505, HS-P50/P505 (mk I), HS-F505, HS-JL303, HS-PL55/555, HS-F50/F505, HS-WR70, HS-RX705, Kenwood CP-R750. https://stereo2go.com/forums/threads/troubleshooting-an-aiwa-alpha-2-mechanism.9398/. All the Alpha-2 mechanism walkmans share the grooved head (in various generations of it) with improved deep bass response. Apart from these, there are other AIWA walkmans which use this head, some of these being: AIWA HS-JX828, HS-J50, HS-PL70, HS-PL77/PL777, HS-PX610, HS-PX710, HS-PX910, HS-PX20, HS-P75/P705. Most of these use the 0ZM or Alpha-1 mechanism.
Thanks for the info ! HS-PL55/555 has the Alpha-2 mech, there are pictures with it on the linked thread. Edited the first post adding all these walkmans.
Greetings,, would like to add, Aiwa, HS-WR70, A wireless headphones player, and the Aiwa HS-RX705 Kenwood CP-R750 Radio recorder also has the Alpha-2 mechanism.
