Glad to have found this forum! I'm old enough to remember a world before the first Walkman. In fact, I got my driver's license the same year it was introduced, so that should date me . . . While going through some boxes that I'd had in storage for years, I found a few Discmans that I'd forgotten I had squirreled-away back in the late-'90s (D-555, etc.) and thought it would be fun to get back into the platform. I never stopped using CDs; they're still my main listening format, other than when I want background music (in which case I have a dedicated PC that plays digital files randomly from playlists). And I have a few thousand pieces of vinyl, but truthfully, I seldom play them anymore. The D-555 doesn't seem to want to play (although it lights-up and spins), and the others (D-EJ360, D-E356CK, D-152CK) don't really float my aesthetic boat, so I've started putting snipes on some more visually interesting models, on eBay. We'll see what that yields. Anyway -- I'm looking forward to participating in the regular discussion fora here. Cheers!
