    A translation is a must for M70.
    JVC M70.png
And the translation says something to shout about:
"The RC-M70 is the first metal tape-compatible radio cassette recorder."

Wow, what a stunning ad! There is a story behind:

There was a very famous French movie with her in 1980 which had a great success and later became a classics of a youth romantic comedy genre -
La Boum (Fr.) = The Party (Eng.), wondering if it was known in the US back in the day,
so here they masterfully played with the movie name in their ad - Boum sounds Boom!
    Super! Right on target! :)

She wasn't in a lot of movies over here, I just know her from Bond.

I know, I love the look of this one, here's another ad for the JVC GR-C7

Just found this floating on the internet, a new to me version of the M70 Cutsheet. Skateboarding, bikes and boomboxes, yea the 80's were great!

JVC 1988, thanks tas66dc! This is around the start of added bass ports with sonic passageways inside the case a la Bose. Bose advertised heavily on it's Acoustimass Bass Modules back then and it worked with millions of people ditching "vintage" audio for the new tiny stuff.

From 1981, the beautiful JVC PC-5L, I'll take any of the 5-piecer's from this era, JVC was on top of it.

It's always fun finding a cool new JVC Ad, from 1979, the little "Twinch" (2-inch for us in the USA) and the super-cool 3090EN. I bet kids stood in stores for hours watching that up on the shelf wondering how many papers it would take to make enough to buy it.

One of those guys over on Tapeheads got me hooked on the tiny 1990's JVC Mini-systems. They're still dirt cheap and a lot of bang for your buck. This should be around 1991.

Another front page only but very early boomboxes from JVC Victor. All of us kids had the cheap piano key recorders, imagine seeing these for the first time and they look so "gadgety!"
