I thought this would be a good thread, feel free to post any of your cool audio stuff. I was searching for something and found this absolute gem, this would be a killer sign to adorn you Walkman Display. Unfortunately it's sold....

I posted these years ago when I picked them up locally at a flea market. They came from a long closed up record shop in a small town.

Am I supposed to know who these people (the four on the second poster) are (genuine question) ?
Funnily the only person I knew who bought a comparable radio from Sony at launch

was a 20 year old college friend who was really into Radio Caroline and other pirate stations and definitely didn't have the same suave image.

Back to signs this is a reproduction / reimagining but it does look very nice in the photo

I don't know who they are, I think they used the same models for the print ads?

Wow, you guys have several over there for sale, I guess there's a lot of people around here snapping them up for their man-caves (large room or garage where a guy drinks beer and watches tv or work on projects) cuz I have a hard time finding them for sale. Around 2010 on Ebay there used to be much more coming from the other side of the world and shipping was dirt cheap, not so much anymore if at all.

This is listed in the mega-sale thread, let's save it here for future generations.

I remember when they used to show up for $30 USD but now all these banners are silly money but they're still cool, I'd love to have that LaSonic.

Hollywood Banners is still in business!
    https://hollywoodbanners.com/

There's suppliers on ebay and they'll custom print a new banner for around $50 if anybody wants to do reissues.
