well, did you find it as a bargain, i mean a real bargain, or did you pay serious bucks for it ? if it was a real bargain, i would believe it's real. if you had to sell grandmom's goldteeth to get it, chances for this one beeing a bastard are much higher, unfortunately (i don't expect you to post here what you paid for it, even that i'm curious). who fakes to sell as a real bargain ? or is this ai-generated ?
Sorry for the delay... here are some more pictures. It was not a bargain, but didn't have to sell a kidney. I don't know if the case and the interior match, but that doesn't matter for me. I am convinced, that the golden case-parts are authentic Sony parts. The prints and the general look and feel are too good to be a fake.
The probability that is authentic is high , in that case a theory could be that it is a factory color test mule case, probably among other colours that didn't make it to the production line , they used quality control rejected parts with minor flaws (eg. BATTERY letters) and through some employee found it's way to the market . Too many assumptions so not a valid theory ( in other words I don't believe it myself ) just a scenario from what we know and see. Certainly what is important here is if the case is authentic , it is of historical value if it is. @Mystereo thanks for the photos.
