So i found a sony wm-ex1 remote (rm-wm78e) at a flea market and i buy it for my wm-ex2 and i have a question, does wm-ex1 remote has a LCD backlight like wm-ex2 remote (rm-wm79e)?
Good question! According to our research the remote is not backlit: Sony WM-EX1. Later remotes that are backlit can be identified by the trailing L in the model number of the remote. For instance the Sony WM-EX5 came with a backlit remote RM-WM71EL, for cassette Walkmans a rather rare electroluminescent backlit remote control unit. Some newer units near the end of the Walkman era came with the RM-WME2Ll (backlit) vs. the RM-WME23 (not backlit). If you have other information, please let us know!
