i just made this account to get some help on a portable cassette tape player to be precise a cybernet intimate ps-101 i bought it this morning and wanted to restore it. i am very new to cassette and this is my first time using this stuff so any help is appreciated thanks!
Welcome to the forum, good luck with your repairs. I think the Cybernet PS-101 qualifies as an official Walkman "Clone."
Yeah i thought so, o read on another forum that it came out not long after the first walkman and they were pretty similar in a lot of things and that is why i bought it mostly also because it was pretty cheap lmao
I'd gladly take one, a lot of the clones are very nice builds. I don't know much about Cybernet but I think they built a lot of audio equipment for other brands and some is highly regarded.

Regarding your Cybernet PS-101, that's very similar to the Infinity Intimate I posted here: https://stereo2go.com/forums/threads/infinity-walkman-restoration.6958/ It's also similar to AKAI PM-01. Expect capacitor leakeage and be patient. It's likely a walkman that's pretty involved to restore. I also suggest to take pictures of the restoration and create a separate thread for this walkmans, as there's nothing regarding it so far.
Oh heck yea, I thought it was the smaller rounded corner one, busy week at work and no brain power left. I love those, especially the chocolately-brown ones, they just look good. I've got both the golden brown and chocolate brown version with leatherette cases. Even the volume sliders have very nice movement to them. While some of these are "clones" or "AKA" (also known as), that doesn't mean they're cheaper, some are identical, some are a little better.
