I am the owner of 4 cassette recorders which I bought in a non-working condition and repaired them myself, this: Sony WM-6DC Sony WM-D3 Sony TC-D5M Marantz CP-430 so if anyone has any questions about repairs, please ask, don't be shy
In Sony WM-6DC I changed CX20084 from a donor and change transistor 2SD1048 in the DC-DC converter with an BC817, and recap servo motor board also; In Sony WM-D3 fixed Center gear and small reel gear also, nothing else; In Sony TC-D5M changed transformer T601, bias oscillator; In Marantz CP-430 rubber capstan;
I used to assemble them from shit and sticks as a child, as they used to say in the Soviet Union. I didn't even have an idea that such models existed, somewhere in a parallel world. They were assembled from what was left over from the defense industry. The stores had a very poor selection of domestic electronics, and of course you can't compare them with the Japanese, but the knowledge I gained was fundamental and solid. Now, living in another world, you see this diversity of everything, which is still forty years old. Analog sound will stay with us forever.
