Before you put money into the machine, it's good to know that cassette deck problems are likely caused by two cam gears that may be worn out. The two gears that perform the cassette deck functions are very fragile and virtually impossible to find replacements. As far as I know, the only compatible devices with the same gears in the deck are the Sony CFS-F11 and CFD-5. Rare machines. On the other hand, if you're not going to use the cassette function, it's a very powerful and good-sounding boombox for radio, and it has an excellent line-in. Perfect for a Bluetooth mod or something similar.
