Hi everyone! In the process of replacing the capacitors of my WM-DD10 unit, I realized that the potentiometer had somehow snapped (due to heating while removing old caps?) and is now dead. I've found a thread on Tapeheads mentioning a similar problem with some replacement parts suggestion which I bought - unfortunately they are much smaller that the original potentiometer, don't have the same layout for soldering connections, and lack the screw to tweak the potentiometer from the other side of the PCB to easily adjust speed without having to tilt it completely... Would anyone know where to source an original/genuine replacement part for the RV601 part of WM-DD1/DD10 ? RV601, part number 1-237-005-21, RES, ADJ, METAL GLAZE 22K (SPEED ADJ) Thanks!
Hi everyone, Eventually I ordered the part mentionned above on eBay, and it was perfect for the job! You just have to wire a bit differently as the layout of the pads is different than from the original one, and you need to adjust speed with PCB tilted as the screw is with this one on the components side. But it works perfectly!
Szia! Ma ugyanez volt a helyzet, dd10-zel, szétszedtem és láttam, hogy a potenciométer közepe kiesett! milyen értékű háromszög potenciométert vettél 22k ohmosat? a két külső szár a két szélre, a felső középső pedig a kondenzátor szárára megy? nagyon szépen köszönöm a segítségedet
Szia György! These are the ones I bought: https://www.ebay.fr/itm/176715261991 Unfortunately they seem to be out of stock, but you can probably find the same. And yes, the back connector goes to the capacitor via a thin wire, as shown on 2nd picture here. The other 2 connectors are soldered as was the previous one - see 1st picture. It was a bit fiddly to solder but not too difficult - good luck! Üdv., Dominique
Hi Dominique! Thank you very much for your help! as soon as I manage to get the potentiometer, I will report the developments! Good evening! Hello Gyuri
