Oh yea! https://www.donki.com/campaign/bttf-40th/ Don Quijote is a department store chain, usually several stories tall. They carry everything from cheap nick-naks to $7000 purses, it's a bizarre store but it will have what you need.
Is Aiwa now like Bell&Howell, where the only thing in common between the present cheap products and the original quality products, is the name?
And I'm there on the 17th so will be too late. I can't see the player being that cheap, looks like the maxel player that double that price. And especially as its a limited item. Maybe it's not a player but just a model of one.
I'll have to search for a better view, they only show the front on the official website and that's about $50 USD which is pretty inexpensive. In the old days AIWA would have come out with a premium model that everyone lusted after.
They just showed up on ebay, typical Japanese, the same item listed under several different prices. https://www.ebay.com/itm/357879001348?
That price is bonkers...$119,- while you can get these on Buyee for €55,-...even with shipping and tax still way cheaper...was thinking of picking one up but €55,- can render me some very nice totl Sony's....think i'll let it McFly
I searched every Don Quixote store I passed when I was in Japan… zero around. They still had all the other BTTF items available, just a big empty space where the cassette player should be.
