    Here's another I recently got running 100%
    A rare Canada version - I have found 2
Canadian variants so far.. this one being the common one.
I have not found a Canadian full complete box set
like I have found in the USA - but I'm sure
they were sold in the box with power adapter,
bags, battery adapters ect like they did with the Optimus
version , but maybe not ? I would like to see that box
    from Canada (Realistic) ..
the USA version I have quite a few box sets.

What a nice looking player. I thought Realistic were only low end, cheap things ... I didn't know they had players like this.

Hey OTB - check out my prior post where I introduced this here on the forum - it's also found as Optimus product but
it's a SANYO mechanism - so it's based on some excellence of the time period - and very small player .
You probably had it as REALISTIC in Australia (like Canada) unless it wasn't distro'd in that Queen colony .

Yeah, realistic in Australia were stores called Tandy. To me it was always cheaper stuff, I remember the stores but never really shopped there.

Our Radio Shacks also had more budget friendly options but if you look through the catalogs, they had some nicer higher-end equipment equipment as well. For the most part they were franchises over here, one local store was completely into the short-wave side of the catalog. His store was a mess but he had shelves of parts everywhere and none of the flashy bling toys.

Same with my experience in Ontario Canada - our local Radio Shack sucked but the stores in London a big city nearby were a haven of interesting gear and parts I lusted after.

Nice - Tandy was typically branded as the Computer arm of Radio Shack in Canada from what I had seen.

I have recently purchased a set in the Box made just for Canada market under the Realistic name . It exists.
