Unfortunately, I have no idea how to buy anything there. They do have some interesting stuff :nodding:

The translation says it's nylon and more flexible. That sounds good, because the original part is apparently very brittle. There's a seller on eBay who sells a metal version.

Luckily, everything is still intact here. But that weak hinge is another reason I only use the DD9 sporadically. It's only been two weeks since I last bounced a Walkman across the street because the cord got caught on my motorcycle handlebars. Luckily it was just an RQ-SW99V, so no problem :smileycool:

I hope someone has experience with the part. I'm also very curious.

I've seen the metal version I'm tempted and probably I'll buy one but I thought that the nylon one is so cheap that maybe it worth to stock some if it works decently.
In theory if it's plastic it will absorb some stress from the metal case and the door.
I'll search it a bit more.
Glad to see you posting more often again mate. :)

To buy from Goofish you need to join an intermediary such as Superbuy. There is ample messing around to actually do the setup and complete purchases, but it does work. There are a couple of alternatives to Superbuy. Their policies differ. Some accept PayPal, Superbuy does not.

Oddly there is better access to vintage Japanese players and parts through Goofish/Superbuy than the Japanese Buyee. Many critical parts for vintage Japanese walkmen are being reproduced in China. Such as gears and flat ribbon cables.
