I'd appreciate any help regarding alternative pinch rollers that would fit the WM-503? as I can't find a match on https://fixyouraudio.com/ I'm assuming it might be similar to WM-501/WM-504 rollers? but they don't have that on fixyouraudio either.
If you dismantle and measure the pinch rollers with a caliper, I.e the outer diameter, width and inner bore, you’ll have the exact specs you need to compare with generic parts on marketplaces like AliExpress. I had luck there finding a suitable replacement for a WM-40 pinch roller.
Thanks, unfortunately I don't have the WM-503 walkman in hand yet, it's still at Buyee. But I did open up my WM-501 which looks like it has identical mechanics inside. and measuring those pinch rollers came up with: 7(D) x 5.5(H) x 1mm I saw some on aliexpress going for cheap price https://www.aliexpress.com/item/100...c_item_bridge_pc_main__UBlNeca__1769015803837 But given some of the comments I thought I'd avoid for now. Looking on ebay I spotted 2 sellers selling pinch rollers under the model WM-F501 https://www.ebay.com/itm/125756456667 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/315191145064 So I asked the second seller for dimensions and he came back with "diameter is 7mm, the rubber width is 4.8mm, and the total height is 6.4mm." They seem to be reduced in height 5.5mm vs 4.8mm - but I've bought a couple to try out. I'll let you how they fit, I've not pulled the rollers from an old WM-501/503 before so I hope it's not too awkward!
For WM-100/200/500 series you will need the ones at 8.34$ that has the hub sleeve only on one side not on both. The other can be modified to fit these series also by cutting/sanding one side of the sleeve, but in reality those are for some early Panasonic RQ-JA series. That's what the one with 4-star review is trying to say. Rubber dimensions are the same on both types, it's just that extra sleeve that on one it needs to be trimmed.
Hello guys, Valentin is correct because I know I have one of those Panasonic RQ-JA series sets that use that one. Sincerely Richard
