Got a nice green WM-DD but with a broken off standoff where the stop button resides.

Has anyone succeeded in repairing this or is it a lost cause? I was thinking glue from both mechanical side and cassette side but not sure what glue to use and how to avoid getting glue onto the moving parts.

If not reparable, what other DD mechanisms would be working as a donor unit?

Finally got around to try to fix it. My idea was to glue it from both sides while using a heat-shrink tubing just to keep the glue out from the interior. Worked nicely, what I would change for next time is to use a glue that is just a little thicker than super glue. No matter how careful I was some glue ended up in the wrong places but that was fixable.

Been on the lookout for a blue DD for a long time, looks almost impossible to find for a resonable price.

Nice fix! A good glue that doesn't run so fast and which gave me good results is Loctite Super Glue 3 Power Gel.
Gel version of their normal super glue...put a bit on a piece of paper and with a small piece of metal (cut off resistor/cap leg) apply gently...this way the tube is never above the machine in case of accidents....last month had a WM-506 where some one tried to attempt to glue the pick gear in place but managed to glue down the whole pick up reel.....
