Hi everyone, I'm Milo, 22 year old from Czechia. Been listening to tapes as a kid since they were still common back in the day, then moved on for a couple of years as one does and recently returned to them, this time as a full on hobby now that I'm an adult and can afford to spend money on it. Kind of got into it by chance, I have this old tape I used to listen to as a kid, which has songs that are nowhere online, I wanted to digitalise it so that I could one day upload it to youtube or some similar service so that it's freely available for everyone to listen to and I went to look at ways to do that and ended up on I think some video about the resurgence of tape cassettes and I found a video about the We Are Rewind player - which I thought looked cool and so I decided to get it, just because it was a simple way to get into the hobby ( please don't crucify me I know that the new players aren't the best ) and I found that I really enjoy it and it all went downhill from there. I raided music stores and bazars for tapes, the looks I got from the cashiers were priceless, I got a tape deck ( Sony TC-134SD ) and later a bunch of walkmans which I'm currently working on fixing. Fun stuff. This all went on over the past half a year and I'm kind of obsessed with tapes now. Been lurking here for a bit, since a lot of usefull information gets shared here, but I finally thought of joining as I've encountered a very flustrating and confusing issue with one of the walkmans I'm fixing and I wanted to ask for help ( but that will wait for tommorow in another post ). Anyways, nice to meet you all, greetings from Czechia !
Welcome and great story. Unfortunately music addiction is real but can be controlled by a trip to the local record shop and a good music delivery source. Good luck with your repairs!
