I've got almost everything fixed on this one unit except the eject slips... it seems the tab that hits the piece that lifts the tape will slip off with even the smallest amount of pressure so I have to manually pop out cassettes any fix for this? ive gotten pretty far in there but didnt see a way to fix it. thanks!
ok.. I figured out its another floppy spring problem.. which I kind of fixed by cutting the spring and bending a new end.. is there anywhere to get new springs for these? its only an ok fix.. not a great one.
Springs you can find on Aliexpress, but you need to know the dimensions: length, diameter and wire diameter. Ones sold specifically for the eject button is very unlikely to find since it's not a common problem.
has anyone ever posted what a wm-d6c spring set would entail? or do I need to learn how to measure springs lol
It's not that difficult to measure a spring: for compression springs you measure from end to end in regard to length. For extension springs, measure just the spring itself, without considering the hooks. Don't think you'll find the dimensions anywhere, as it's not a common problem on D6C. The only spring I have dimensions for is the play button one (this I've seen missing on a handful of D6Cs). This can get lost when replacing the rubber, as some forget to hook it back to the flywheel retainer. You'll have to measure it yourself or guess: order a couple that are close to each other based on distance between the hooking points and see which one fits best.
