    Hello everyone,

So I recently got some Sony MDR-010 headphones that had an internal broken connection right next to the 3.5mm jack, which I had to replace entirely, and one of the foam pads is partly disintegrated.

These are the style of "tire" type, flat sided foam pads originally used in the MDR-010 or the Sanyo E-333 for example. Not sure they're the same size but you get the picture.

I've left some pics of the ones I have from the MDR-010 anyway.

Does anyone know how these style of pads are actually called (I've been having trouble searching for them, even threads about them) and where I could get them (online sites, China, etc.)?

I'm particularly interested in replacing the pads of the Sanyo E-333, I have a pair with the original ones intact and another one with some adapted regular pads. These are my favorite vintage headphones and I'd love to get both of them looking as original as possible, although the MDR-010 performs pretty well too.

Thank you for your time and replies

I'm assuming you don't want the rounded sided version?

I've seen the square corner versions, I just don't remember where, google something like Sony Vintage Replacement Headphone Foam and search the images. I'd also look on Ali Express, I think they had some at one time.

Hello, thank you for the help, yes those "standard" ones are much easier to find, it's the flat sided ones I'm looking for.

Thanks for the search terms, I thought about AliExpress but didn't find anything, guess I'll keep trying.

Also if anyone knows of modern alternatives in that style I'm happy to give them a look as well

Well ive been looking for those myself for my MDR2 and MDR3 but the flat side tire like foam is no longer being made by any comapny. Closest you can get are with V-Mota pads which atleast have some edge to them instead of the pancake foams.....
So you can stop looking, internet is full of people looking for those with many posts on many forums and they arent around anymore.
