Hi Quaz, checking in about your WM-DX100. Were you able to find a motor for this walkman? Reason why I ask: I am looking for a battery door for the same unit, mine broke in 2 just recently. Thanks!

Hi Quaz, just changed the belt, Speed is almost perfect ! I triy to manage the bass and treble issue by managing the profile of the input, last question there is still a lot of noise, and metal cassette i made with metal tape and microcassette shell is hard for the drive to play...

Thanks ! And I saw you mentionnend that you managed to transplant tape form a DAT shell to a microcassette. I tried to do so with some metal tape (Fuji Type IV 60 min), and managed, but once i press play, the tape gets stuck in the recording/playing mecanism, can it be related to the thinness of the tape itself, or something else ?

Hi quaz, i read that you seem to now quite well the Sony M-1PD. I just recieved mine yesterday. It is like new, in its box. And works ! Treble are itchy, bass are sometimes too strong, and the tape speed seems to make some small ups and downs. Do you now if there is anything to do ?

        Hey,
I can't tell you much about the sound. All of my microcassette players suffer from unpleasant treble. You can try adjusting the head azimuth if the music has too much bass.

Regarding the speed issue, check if your belt is good. If it's the original one, it should be replaced. Also, I recommend taking the recorder apart to lubricate the mechanism - mine had very bad wow and flutter even with a new belt.
