An article from our local paper https://www.startribune.com/millions-of-miles-of-tape-3m-hutchinson-factory-turns-75/600203595/ From the 80's https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/ct-xpm-1987-11-20-8703270587-story.html Years ago they were involved with media tape but I think most of that was done at another factory North of there (recently shut down?) and one in downtown Saint Paul (torn down). Hutch is a huge building, I was never inside but it's very impressive, the town is very small but it also has Hutch Tech (HTI), they were huge in the early days of hard drives, they built the arms for the read/write head. Hard times hit when Seagate (also a local company) decided to use someone else in the 2000's. I just looked up HTI and they are now owned by TDK! Strange how things work. https://www.hutchinson.tdk.com/WebHTI
