Searching for old stocks on the web, I discovered these headphones from AIWA (HP-SE11). The resemblance to the Sony MDR-W014 is incredible. I decided to take a risk and placed the order. The sound is phenomenal, it was probably SONY technology within AIWA already.

By that time, Sony had fully-bought Aiwa. Some Aiwa branded walkmans even have Sony branded PCB inside them.

You're right, man. This earphone is from 2004 and since 1982 SONY already had the majority control of AIWA. In 2003 Sony decided to take over the company, this new style logo was part of the final attempt to save the company. It is possible to see in the photo above (in the manual) "2004 - Sony Corporation". I'm very proud to have obtained some units of this headset.
