    Hello all,

This is sort of a re-introduction. I was on this forum many moons ago but life happened and diverted me elsewhere. Not that I was ever a prolific poster before. Anyway, I'm here again. I grew up in the 80s and had many Aiwa and a couple of Sony personal players through the years. They're all junk and hiding somewhere in my parents' house now. They include HS-J09 a.k.a. J600, J800, T900, J707, JX707, RX610, and JX849. Sonys include F28, EX1, and DD9. My Sony tastes veered toward Discmans more, with D-311, 321, D-515, D-35, D-555, D-777, and D-EJ815.

The last year or so, my love of personal players was rekindled, and now in my daily use are a mint Aiwa PL77 and Sony D-555, D-35, D-777, and F701C (which I got recently) with my Shure SE535.

Here's a peek into my current "everyday vintage" drawer of goodies.

It makes me wonder how long before we start shrink-wrapping our stuff like they do with cars, so you can still use it but the plastic wrap is protecting the surface.
