I have been working on my FX271 to fix its speed issue recently, did a dumb thing and did not check the manual before adjusting the pot so I have screwed around with some other pot-looking components inside the unit that govern AM tuning and tracking adjustment. I currently don't have access to my voltmeter and need a level meter to properly see what has been changed, but from what I've noticed it seems perfectly usable (AM radio that is) but there is a bit of hiss, this seems more down to where I am rather than an electrical fault though.
