hello fellas (gals?), Just some Canadian dude. Mildly musical, computar support tech. I have a soldering station =) I've recently encountered the joys of replacing surface mount capacitors xD I'm a vintage HI Fi enjoyer. I recapped an old philips CD player from the early 80. Repotted my GK bass amp. Have been tinkering electronics since I was wee high to a grasshopper. Working on restoring a SonyWM-AF605/BF605 from my late brother who was in a well known 80's band. I also enjoy Sony MDs, Digital WM.
Welcome ZeePoo, most of the old units need work these days and any information or experience you can share would be extremely helpful! and we love the Canadian Bands, my first big concert at our 6000 seat ice rink, was Triumph! That show is still ingrained in my head, I get depressed thinking they only got back together two or three times since they broke up. Being close to the border in Michigan and Minnesota we also got lucky to see guys like Our Lady Peace, I Mother Earth and Loverboy. Loverboy showed up for an outdoor show at our casino in 2019 and they still sound great. The covid sucks, I used to go to 30+ shows a year, I can't wait for live music to come back.
