    @Silver965 - Thank You for this! :) AIWA DX-P1 Discman looks like a Toshiba XR-9421 clone! ChinaHao sells its laser which is clearly Tosh... Interesting that Aiwa did not use Sony Discman for their own re-branding!?! I will research DX-P1 a bit more and then update my never-ending project of "golden era" Discmans Excel table :cool:

    So many portables and component mini hifi systems from the (still) good days of AIWA in one place with technical specs and year time frame , definitely useful.
    Some real diamonds at the walkman section . :smileycool:

    I really appreciate your effort because I have one Aiwa CT - z5500mkii car cassette player and I've never seen it in any catalogue

    I also suggest you to share your scans with the web: www.hifiengine.com the most important repository for Hifi
