HI. Is there anyone who has the service manual of this Aiwa Cs-500 in pdf... especially the wiring diagram. I searched a bit online and found few and only paid ones... the photo is not mine, I found it online Thank you
Have you tried archive.org I have two of this model that I started working on in February of 2023 and I have yet to finish the first one. And I don't think I'm going to repair the second one. Or maybe I'll use the first one to repair the second one or something like that There is two of them, a Hitachi and a RC550
Yes, I tried but there is no pattern... Thank you.. and out of curiosity I would like to see how it connects schematically this function...Mono -Stereo -Wide and if it were possible to move it to other Aiwa... or compare it with other systems like jvc -philips...etc
1. First of all, mono and stereo are simple schematic designs. 2. Stereo-wide is a computational mathematical mess, and every manufacturer has their own way of doing it. 3. Are you just wanting to move the switch?. 4. Please elaborate as to what exactly you were referring to comparing one brand to another. Is it, a. Mono, b. Stereo c. Wide sound? D. I don't believe there's enough time in the world to compare all the differences of that..
Yes, I know that there isn't enough time in the world to see all these differences.. But I have three Aiwa models.. two 770s, one blue and one gray and one 880.. very similar aesthetically and partly also electronically at the circuit level .. but they don't have this Stereo Wide function..I know that Aiwa also mounts it on Tpr 950 -955..but from the diagram of these Tprs it is only partially understood... Stereo wide is not a mathematical mess but just a circuit which crosses the two left and right channels... while jvc has developed it a little more (Biphonic system) also using a special chip on some models... other manufacturers have used some components (a resistor and a capacitor) such as Philips on some models.. I would also like to understand Aiwa how they developed it... I know that in the end nothing will change but for me it is not only the aesthetics of the radio that matters but also the circuit used and the components to achieve quality of sound... and also the possibility of making changes on models that do not have these functions
Just so you know I have the Aiwa too. Both 770s blue and gray There is my 880 600 and 660 Or you can get this bottom of the shelf. Toshiba rt-6015 lol as you can see it has stereo wide.
Sanyo M9994K or M9994 as they both have stereo wide I could be here all day doing this but I won't be. Good day
I know you have a lot ... but I can't have that many... in total I own six boomboxes.. I usually find, buy, repair, modify and resell.. there are very few that I would like to have like the Sony Yokoyama series.. but not at crazy prices... I repair and modify such as I create the entrance Bluetooth (I've lost count of how many I've made this way)... and I'm reselling it Thanks and have a nice day... I will continue with my research... regards

Yes, thanks for the information and links I had already seen I'll try searching some more and then see if I can get it for a fee
Probably just going to have to buy the service manual. PS: I like that odd look of the "Acoustic 3D" Aiwa with blue background around the speakers.
That is the Aiwa CS-880 without the grill on it. And I have that model as well as the gray 770 and the other blue 770 and a bunch other of that brand in boomboxes.
hello .. @Northerner congratulations and best wishes for the sale I saw other photos of you on other sites of a cs 500 complete with box and manual...I would like to ask you a question... ..You can't take two photos only of the complete electrical diagram and post them here... I already have the ones of the mechanics and the parts, since it mounts the same as the 770 and 880 etc... In the end these aiwa are all a bit the same mechanically, they change something in the electronics Thanks
Analog Alley has it for sale as a PDF for $13.95. https://www.analogalley.com/osccart/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=14&products_id=2217
