    Hello!

Thanks to Timewarp I found this forum....

Now I am a collector, but only for a specific set of devices; yellow Philips Moving Sound and Sony Sports....

Yes, there are some imposters...but they fit in ok.

In the 80s these were the devices that triggered me, but did not have the money for to buy them.

Now, as everything is considered "vintage", I am trying to find these devices, but only if they are in acceptable condition, or if I can restore them in a acceptable condition....

The devices I collect are not high-end in any way; they, in my humble opinion, represent the sheer fun of the 80s and 90s....

And that's it; they bring me joy every time I am in the attic!

Hopefully I am able to meet some people here who share the same love for yellow stuff, or people who can help me with completing the collection!

Welcome to the forum and great collection. I love picking up the Sports Models when I see them but even they are getting harder to find and they're going up in value.

That's cool, I can get that  The first Sony Walkman I ever encountered and used was a yellow Sony WM-F73 around 1988. My dad got it from a guy at work and spent that Summer listening to it and going on about how great it sounded. The headphones were the typical type of the era and leaked sound badly. With the volume way up you could hear it 30ft (10m) away  This particular WM-F73 failed when the volume dial knob broke off. This walkman was discarded and I got it out from the tape drawer years later (early 90's) and tried to fix it. (This it probably when it all started...)

What a cool collection! Like the yellow theme a lot. And even the legendary big yellow freaky submarine D8304 is there! Welcome MrRunes7.
