I have the original hearphones and the original leather case with it. All the function on the player works great! Play like a new one!

please post some pictures of your walkman to see its condition.
you mentioned that your walkman plays like a new one but does it look like a new one?
Does it come with its original box and accessories?
The value of a walkman depends on these few things:

    cosmetic appearance,
    functionality,
    original accessories( including box),
history of a walkman being repaired/ restored by a well known technician,
    credibility/ reliability of owner/seller

Hi, the walkman is very very clean, no scratch or dent. The battery have explode in it when i found it at the thrift store, i cleaned it and no dammage to the composant. Just the exterior paint is affected a little (discoloration caused by acid). The battery have eplode in the battery cover, not in the battery tray.

I have the original headphones and original leather case with it.

I have tested the headphones ,the sound is perfect and the dual microphone is operationnal. I recorded my voice on a new blank tape and it work nicely!

    (Miss the foam on headphones)

I think the player run on its original belt, the screw looks like no one never touched it..

Sorry if my english is not perfect, im french Canadian.

The last one sold for $80 US but this is quite a rare model. I would say yours is worth slightly less due to the cosmetic issues.

The fading on the back may indicate battery leakage and that's a big red flag for buyers, the value usually goes down quite a bit.

Your walkman shows significant cosmetic damage. Even though this walkman is hard to find but as "Mister X" mentioned the damage on your walkman is a red flag for buyers.

I tried to locate some sold units on yahoo japan to give you very close estimate for your walkman. I considered those sold recently. The closest one that matches your walkman is this one sold on 8/30:

as you see there is no damage in the battery compartment compared to yours and it was sold for 10,000 Japanese Yen (about USD 89)

your walkman value is about 30- 55 (USD), and again this is only my personal opinion.

Just when I think I've seen every bit of functionality that can be built into a vintage personal stereo, I turn around and another pops-up with more!:swoon:thumbsup:
