Hi there all, the blue Walkman DD I ordered from Yahoo Auctions Japan arrived today! Quite a good deal for what it is, but as expected it has problems - the mechanism doesn't move when I press play (central gear issue I'm guessing) and the fast forward button doesn't press in, rewind does but none of them stay stuck in place like on a regular Walkman. Although Walkman Archive's guide is very thorough and goes through everything in meticulous detail I think it might be more economically viable and comforting for me to just send this guy off to be repaired by an expert! As such are there any good services in the UK for DDs that you can recommend? It also has some aesthetic damage but in all honesty I would like him to be mechanically sound before I worry about any of that Thanks!
Also... My DD is blue, I wasn't aware that these ones are as rare as they are but I got it for £70 (including the customs charge)
