I've given your video a like. The film gets several likes from me. If you haven't seen it ignore the critics reviews and enjoy some great music and performances

Very cool but I wish they could source some higher quality tape for these special edition cassettes. At least you have it already. I am still waiting on the Paul McCartney Egypt Station limited edition cassette. Order goes back to September expect it any day now after notification that they are being shipped finally.
The Bohemian Rhapsody film is a delight for those of us familiar with the recording studios of the 1970's and 80's. The transition from 4 track masters to 16 track 1" Ampex tape was so realistic in the film it felt really authentic. Will have to get this cassette now

Well it actually arrived after 4 months. It's a type I cassette of course with a fair bit of hiss. Levels are quite good and Dolby B seems to kill the hiss without too much loss of top end. 15469986779683754459625736509984.jpg

With the increase of new releases on cassette, I've wondered what their quality is like?
Back in the 80s, even only considering legit shop-bought 'musicassettes', quality was variable to say the least. A decent TDK-SA always made a much better copy...

Also curious how that would compare to back then. I remember a thread on another forum where someone compared the current Maxell UR with the old ones, noting the differences (there were some, I think it was on tapeheads).
Are they even still selling type II professional records? I haven't even seen any, not even new blank type II tapes for personal use.

The Cassette tape for Bohemian Rhapsody is at present on Sale at Amazon Uk for the bargain price of £7.90 .It is much mor expensive on E-bay. The only problem the postage is %.90 and it does not qualify for Prime delivery So there is not a lot in it with postage costs if you can get free postage elsewhere

I purchased the Amazon Bohemian Rhapsody cassette but postage reduced the saving somewhat over eBay. Still I could opt to buy in local currency and save on the terrible exchange rate and tax conversion on eBay.
I am only buying to support the format because what you get is a type 1 cassette and not as good as making your own on a good deck with a good type II or Type IV cassette.
