Here's a pic of the beauty before I start asking questions:

I had bought several Walkman models previously from offer.com and Craigslist. They all needed a belt or had some other issue. I changed the belt in all 3 and one was still slow as all heck, and the other two needed a speed adjustment and to have the heads aligned, because when auto-reverse kicked in, it just sounded off.

So, I went on a quest to buy one that, at a minimum, had a new belt put in and had the speed adjusted. And I wanted it to have Dolby B noise reduction.

Found this one on eBay and paid $39.95 for it, which was the upper end of my budget, but it had Dolby B, and it had its belt replaced and the speed adjusted. Just tried it out, and all works well.

The only problem is, it's missing its belt clip.

    1. Any place I can buy a belt clip for this thing?
    2. What other models use the same belt clip, so I can widen my search?
    3. Is there someone that can service these things for a reasonable fee? I'd love to send the other ones off to someone to have the speed adjusted and checked over.

I have a couple of those toaster shaped full logic Wakmans. Your particular model would never have been sold in the UK though as our TV is only on UHF. I'm not sure if these models came with a belt clip, as if it is like mine the cassette loads into th opposite side to all the controls. They did come with a slide on vinyl case with all the controls embossed on it. However, with the only one I have the vinyl edging is disintegrating with age making it horrible to even touch

Edit. I might be thinking of the wrong model. Where are the tape controls on yours ?

On this one, the tape goes in on the same side as the controls.

This one isn't full logic. The cassette controls are on the side. All those buttons on the front are for the radio.

Yes I got that completely wrong. It does look as if mine was designed by the same stylist though

@Longman: this full-logic model is based on the same "platform" as the FX465 above. This platform originated from, if I am not mistaken, the EX170 (although the EX170 is single-direction and has a different size belt).

@The Shocker: most models in this generation with front-loading cassette door use this clip. Some very early models of this generation use previous style clip. Also, newer models with the cassette loaded from the back do not use a clip at all. I suggest carrying this walkman in a pouch because the silver paint rubs off very easily, and under it you'll see a transparent cassette door - ugly.
