    Hello!

I need a belt for the Sharp JC-K99.
Unfortunately it seems no one sells them?

Please send me a link or DM.
    Preferably in EU.

    Thanks!

The Sharp JC-K99 has the same mechanism as Kenwood CP-E7.

There is no belt specifically manufactured for any of these walkmans, as is the case with many uncommon and rare ones. In such situations, we have to get a belt by dimension.
    Belt I used is a 58mm x 0.6mm: https://fixyouraudio.com/product/rubber-belt-58-0-6-mm-square-shaped/

It's to be noted this model may have a broken clutch gear, which will render very high w&f if it is broken.

Thanks. I picked up two of them for both my JC-K99's. Let's see how they go.

How much did you pay for the players, I assume they came with a remote at least?

    G'day.

One of them cost me under €50 and did not come with the remote and its AA battery adapter had the flippable door which covers the battery, missing. The player itself inside and out is in perfect condition though, cosmetically and otherwise. No corrosion anywhere either.
The other cost me a bit over €500. Literally 10x the price. It's never been used, is also in perfect condition inside and out, came with the original box and accessories which includes the remote, case, original manuals, gumstick, gumstick charger, et cetera. Nothing was missing. Also no corrosion. Both have the extremely rare Jap 99g sticker in perfect cond; most JC-K99's have a different and very faded/missing sticker.

I tested both with the remote and both work fine and sound great out-of-the-box, though the €50 one needs a little work. The unused one sounded incredible. They're both being repaired now.
I have photos of both in this thread at the bottom: https://stereo2go.com/forums/threads/gmyws-good-cassette-walkmans-list-and-guide.9525/#post-75771

Prices for this model in similar perfect internal and external condition without even the accessories, but just the remote so you can use it. I've seen as high as $2000. Average price is about $1200. If you would like some advice on where to get one in reasonable condition at a more reasonable price, send me a DM.

    God bless.

    Thanks.

I did see this one .. https://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/d1139847429 but hesitated and lost out.
It looked in great condition, with remote etc and went for around max I’d want to pay … oh well, another will pop up one day.

Mmm with the remote I don't think you will find one under €200. You'd be lucky even then.

That one you linked looks a lot like the one I got but mine was less than half as expensive, the color was blue and it was with no remote.

Yeah, it sold for aud$128 (us$85, Euro80), a bargain for the player with remote and headphones..
I simply forgot to log back in and bid … should have just bought it for the aud$200
