Hi, I'm a longtime audiocassette enjoyer. My beloved Walkman died in the early 2000s when alkaline batteries leaked all over the insides and my parents did not want their child trying to salvage something full of battery acid. Recently got a Mulann B-1000 as an affordable portable cassette player and to be honest I just joined the forum so I could respond to a thread about how to remove a stuck battery from the battery compartment.
Welcome aboard Luna , We are here to help and maybe along the line you may pick up a few older sony Walkmans
Thanks for the welcome! I am open to picking up a vintage portable stereo sometime. Might look for reputable brands other than Sony in case that comes cheaper… togglable noise reduction and auto-reverse would be great, though! Willing to replace a couple belts if I don't have to get too deep into the device. The dream would be to pick up a good portable DCC player I could run off rechargable AAs, but that seems unlikely in my budget
