Charity shop find

    Not tested it yet. It’s got a rechargeable battery pack so I guess that likely won’t hold a charge as Google tells me the Discman is from 1987. Great to have the right should strap tho :)

    Great find Northerner, I love finding the square model players and you have the ultra-cool strap, I don't think I've seen that before.

    I had this model: it is beautiful, heavy as a brick... but mine had too many problems: crumbled sled gear, rechargeable pack I tried to restore but failed miserably, so in the end I put this one on my “avoid” list:(

    It is a weighty beast but looks fab. I’ll test it out when I have time :)

    When I was in college in the late 80s, I delivered a LOT of pizzas with one of those units riding shotgun. There was a power/accessory arm that was a gooseneck with a platform for the cd payer at one end and a 12volt plug at the other end.
