Yesterday I received my Sony DD9 back from repair. And it was not in Italy, but in Romania

Now it is again in my collection and works like a charm.

Nice some of those units i use to have, nothing in gold though.

In the Aiwa range i have HS-JX101, HS-JX303, HS-JX505, HS-JX707 and HS-PX1000. Plus some other cheaper ones too, i loved the HS-PL777 which was the really thin one but it got stolen :frown:

Out of the Sony's i've owned for design i love the DD9:thumbup:

You have some very nice units there, do you use them all?

Stunning collection you have there, I am envious.

If I may ask, how would you compare the PX 101 to the pc202?
I'll be sending one of the two for repairs soon and would like to hear your opinion. I was only able to hear my dying pc202 until it died but I never heard the px101

If I would have the choice to let repair either the PC202 or the PX101, I would definitely choose the PX101.

The PC202 is very good as a “working animal”. It has a robust mechanism and a good sound. But the sound is very neutral and depends on your headphones. There is no option for sound adjustment. And it has only manual operation.

The advantage of PX101 are the two DSL sound sliders. With these you can influence the sound according your taste. It has the option for remote control and feather-touch operation buttons. If it’s electronic is well repaired and the right belt built in, then it has a great sound.

    Here something to read:

No, not all. Mostly I use the Aiwa PC202 MKIII and now again the Sony DD9.
Sometimes I take the JX101, JX303 and JX707. Quite seldom I use the other Sonys. The PX101 and PX1000 I don’t use now. They have a lot of W&F and need new maintenance. And the JX505 does not work at all. I will soon ship them for repair.
