I don't know much about Dick Smith but it seems to be Austrailia's Version of Radio Shack which means lots of cool electronic kits and fully built units.

A catalog finally showed up on archive.org
    https://archive.org/details/1983-catalogue/page/40/mode/2up?view=theater

I'm getting a posting error, I'll update with photos as soon as the issue is fixed.....

Those adverts look as if they could have come from Radio Shack. A search told me

"In 1973, Tandy Corporation began opening RadioShack-style stores in Australia under the Tandy name."

That is the same year that we started getting Tandy Stores in the U.K.

Yea the graphics on the last page are identical. Dick Smith was an interesting person, I read he took an around the world helicopter flight in the early 80's.
