Hi, recently discovered the “Nagakoa hand winder CT-406” on ebay. The seller is super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the shipping costs are over 40 EUR (more than 4 x the selling price), so I didn't buy it. A demo on YT shows that the CT-406’s transmission ratio is very high and winding might therefore be difficult sometimes. Asked myself: why not do it yourself? I then used my beginner's knowledge to design a model for 3-D printing. It’ a simpler version with only one gear stage (transmission ratio 1:6). Instead of a reverse lock a simple arrow is indicating the right direction of rotation. Works quite well. To be honest: I have no idea what I could do with the thing but I had a lot of fun. A small electric screwdriver would do the same thing, of course… Attached some pictures
